Jab Planter
The Haudin Jab planter (also known as the press seeder) is a high-efficiency planting instrument that simplifies seeding in gardens and small farms without the need to bend over. The equipment has an adjustable seed roller that can plant a wide range of medium-sized seeds, including peanuts, peas, and beans.

Jab Planter Buying Guide
Before you buy a Jab planter, please consider the following factors:
· Is your garden growing seeds such as corn, beans, peas, etc.?
· Do you have plastic mulch on your greenhouse garden?
· Are you still using traditional sowing methods (bending)?
· Do you often feel tired from sowing work?
If you got the above two or more factors, then I would highly recommend you to use Haudin Jab planter!
Why you will like Haudin jab planter/press seeder?
If you are still a farmer who uses traditional seeding methods, I suppose you are having difficulty directly spreading seeds like beans and maize. These repeated jobs require a great deal of bending over and frequent movement. Long-term bending over puts a lot of strain on your lumbar spine, which can cause a range of orthopedic problems.
As shown in the line drawing on the right, the left shows traditional sowing, whereas the right shows sowing using a Jab planter. Compared to the traditional approach, utilizing a Jab planter allows you to sow while standing, without having to bend over and repeat the process. This implies that you can plant hundreds of square meters of farmland without feeling uncomfortable.
A tiny planting area is not a reason to purchase a powerful seeder, but now you can have a semi-automatic seeding machine for the price of a few cups of coffee. Believe me, this will be a game changer for planting!
Could you tell me the difference between Jab Planter 6D1 & 6D2?
The difference between 6D1 and 6D2 (Single Model & Dual Model) can be quickly explained through set questions:
Do you need to fertilize at the same time as sowing?
-- If the answer is yes, then you should choose dual jab planter-6D2. This is the main difference between 6D1 & 6D2, 6D2 is able to apply fertilizer side-dressing at the same time as sowing.
Do you need to locate the next sowing position?
-- 6D2 has an extra component - space marker which can locate the next sowing position. It would make your sowing experience better.
Do you want a higher sowing accuracy ?
-- It has to be admitted that single model has better sowing accuracy and more durable product quality than dual model.
Jab Planter Structure
The structure of the Jab planter differs significantly from that of the Haudin push seeder. The main difference between the Jab planter and the push planter is that the Jab planter functions more like an integrated machine. It has no evident structural differences. The general layout is similar to a syringe machine, with a handle, main machine, and seeding teeth. (As shown in the right figure)
1.Handle :
As the push planter, the Jab planter's handle is made of 5.2mm foam sponge, which makes it harder for users to slip out of their hands and provides a more pleasant grip.
2.Main Machine : The body is divided into the following main parts
· Seed Box: The container for seeds in the seeder. If it is a single model, there is only one seed box. If it is a dual model, it occupies half of the space of the main unit. It can usually load 2-3kg of seeds.
· Fertilizer Box (*only on 6D2): It can also hold 2-3kg of granular fertilizer, but only the dual model has this part
· Seed Roller Component: Users can change the seed wheels inside the machine to suit their different seeding needs by rotating the seed wheel cover. It is very easy to operate
· Fertilizer Roller Component (*only on 6D2): For users who sow seeds and apply fertilizer on the side, the 6D2 model can determine the volume of fertilizer applied by adjusting the positioning of the fertilizer roller.
· Space Marker (*only on 6D2): In the center of the machine, at the #6 mark. The user can open the space marker / distance ruler by rotating the buckle. When in use, the space marker can assist the user in locating the next sowing site and, to some extent, optimizing the sowing pattern to achieve equidistant sowing.
· Depth Controller: On the underside of the machine, the user can adjust the planting depth of the planter up or down by changing the fastener fixing position.
3.Seeding Teeth:
The most important part of the haudin seeder that enables in-soil sowing is the opening and closing of the teeth to allow the seed to be dropped at the right planting depth.
Jab Planter Accessories List
The haudin planters all have a corresponding number of accessories to choose from, but of course the jab planter, as opposed to the push planter, is only able to choose the seed rollers as well as the teeth:
· Seed Rollers:
It is important to choose the right seed roller for your seeds. The Haudin seeder comes with multiple seed rollers with different hole sizes, so it can handle a variety of medium-sized seeds. (For example, soybeans, peanuts, chickpeas, etc.) Of course, we did not develop a matching small seed wheel, which means that this seeder is not suitable for very small seeds (such as beets or sesame).
You need to collect the seeds you want to sow and take the larger seeds and put them into each size of seed wheel for testing. If the seeds can be perfectly placed in the hole without too much area exposed outside the hole, then this proves that this seed wheel is suitable. (*Note: If the seeds only occupy less than 2/3 of the area in the hole, it may mean that you will face the situation of multiple seeds falling at the same time)
· Seeding Teeth:
Same as the haudin push seeder, the jab planter likewise has a wide selection of teeth. Functionally, there are two types - normal teeth and blade teeth. The blade teeth are specially designed for seeding in greenhouse environments. We have welded blades on both sides of the teeth so that the jab planter's teeth are able to easily poke through the plastic film and plant seeds in the plastic-covered soil.
Tips to use Jab Planter
Change seed roller
- Find the cover, press the snap above the lid and turn it counterclockwise
- Remove the white gear inside and take out the original seed roller
- Install the replacement seed roller and complete the replacement of the seed roller
Seed Roller dimension:
#2 --> Diameter - 11.6mm
#3 --> Diameter - 11.0mm
#4 --> Diameter - 10.0mm
#5 --> Diameter - 9.2mm
Adjust seeds dropping number
Push the plastic plate out the back of the planter to release it. Then pull it straight out of the slot. Return the plate to the left or right slot to adjust for the appropriate number of seeds.
Positions for different seed quantities are shown in the below:
Plate into #1 --> one seed dropping per stroke
Plate into #2 --> double seeds dropping per stroke
Without plate--> triple seeds dropping per stroke
Adjust the amount of fertilizer
0mm length --> 1ml fertilizer per stroke
10mm length --> 5ml fertilizer per stroke
25mm length --> 10ml fertilizer per stroke
40mm length --> 15ml fertilizer per stroke

WE ARE HERE TO HELP.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our customer service team. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality service and support.
Could the jab planter sow small seeds? (e.g. rapeseed, sesame, beets, etc.)
Sorry, no. Although we really want to implement this feature
Could jab planter be used in greenhouse soil covered with plastic film?
Yes, of course! But you need to choose teeth with blades (i.e. special teeth for greenhouses). These teeth can achieve cross or straight film breaking.
If I want both sowing and fertilizing functions, which one should I choose?
Without a doubt, please choose 6D2 (i.e. dual model). 6D1 currently only supports seeding.
